Question:
For a back or sprained ankle, which makes the most sense: heat, ice, or a prescription pain pill?

Answer:
Any time you injure yourself you should always put on ice,” Lucchesi said. “And that's the first 48 hours. Because when you injure yourself your blood supply goes there, it gets swollen... After that if it's a muscle then you can go with heat. And either way you shouldn't do it for too long. You should do it for about 20 minutes, stop, you can do it for another 20 minutes.”

It's not always clear why some kids are "stone formers." There might be lifestyle factors, like getting too little fluid and too much salt. And some researchers have suspected that the rising obesity rate might be leading to a higher incidence of kidney stones in adults and kids alike.

And a study published Wednesday found that children who have had multiple CT scans over time might have a higher-than-normal risk of leukemia or brain cancer.

Healthcare professionals should perform liver enzyme tests before initiating statin therapy in patients and as clinically indicated thereafter. If serious liver injury with clinical symptoms and/or hyperbilirubinemia or jaundice occurs during treatment, therapy should be interrupted. If an alternate etiology is not found, the statin should not be restarted.

Healthcare professionals should follow the recommendations in the lovastatin label regarding drugs that may increase the risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis when used with lovastatin.

Big breasts may be bad for your health, author says

Another culprit behind growing cups is early onset puberty, another precursor for breast cancer

Once a woman develops large breasts, she’s put at a greater risk of pollution exposure.  Bigger breasts have a much higher concentration of fatty tissue, and according to Medical Daily, the body stores toxic chemicals in its fat cells.  This means big breasts could be storing dangerous compounds such as mercury or chemicals found in pesticides and paints.

To make matters worse, the more these chemicals are stored in the breast tissue, the more likely they are to be transferred into a woman’s breast milk and passed along to her newborn children.
