nitrogen dioxide (NO2) levels in the kitchen of the city-centre flat with a gas cooker were three times higher than the concentrations measured outside the property and well above those recommended in UK Indoor Air Quality Guidance).

There are 3 major types of estrogens:

E1 or Estrone

E2 or Estradiol

E3 and Estriol

Estrone and estradiol are the estrogens that relieve menopausal symptoms, but they are also associated with an increased risk factor for developing breast cancer. They are the more potent estrogens.

Estriol is the gentler estrogen and has the ability to protect tissues against the proliferative or "cellular growth factor" effects of the other estrogens. Measuring and knowing the ratio of these three estrogens can play a key role in assessing your individual risk for breast cancer.

CONCLUSIONS: Aspartame exposure may promote hyperglycemia and insulin intolerance. MSG may interact with aspartame to further impair glucose homeostasis. This is the first study to ascertain the hyperglycemic effects of chronic exposure to a combination of these commonly consumed food additives; however these observations are limited to a C57BL/6 J mouse model.

people who are unfaithful to their monogamous romantic partners pose a greater risk for STIs [sexually transmitted infections] than those who actively negotiate non-monogamy in their relationship

Monogamy can be an effective method for preventing the spread of STIs, but only if couples test negative for STIs at the start of the relationship and remain faithful while they are together. If people do not find monogamy appealing or feasible, they clearly need to think about the risk this poses to their partner and consider whether an open relationship would suit their needs better, and better protect their relationship partners

Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD) is one of many leukodystrophies in which patients struggle to produce the myelin sheath. It protects nerve fibres and helps messages pass along the nerves.

Without the sheath, messages do not travel down the nerve - resulting in a range of problems including movement and cognition.
